i was watching a programmes on T.V one day.The programmes went on break and and changed the channel and tuned a news channel.News that was flashing on T.V at that time was about BPO sector.It showed that Indian BPO Sector made a profit of Rs 80 crore in the year 2006.
I somewhere in my mind thought that i have also contributed to these Rs 80 crore as i have also worked in a BPO for six months,actually it was 5 months.It was so horrable that i could’nt compelete even 6 months there.It was next to hell for me.The reason i joined BPO was not only one reason but there were 3 reasons.
Reason number 1 was that the girl i loved was working in the same company
Reason number 2 was that i always wanted to experience the call center lifestyle and
reason number 3 was money which i needed and it was the biggest problem.
Working in BPO, the money problem was solved and i also experienced the BPO life ,but i never met that girl.But that time i used to spend more than i earned.
My shift timing were from 4:30 am to 10:30 am.But we were being picked up at 2:30am and reached our homes at 12:30 pm.So, i had to devote 10 hours out of 24 hours to get the monthly salary of Rs 8000.So,giving contribution to make the profit of Rs 80 crore was much more expensive deal for me.I lost my social life,when all my friends were Dating with beautiful girls,i was sleeping at my home and when my friends were enjoying the Night Outs,I had to make calls to U.S to collect $Dollors$
BPO people have got their own world,a limited place to enjoy and limited people to talk.If you work the whole night,you won’t have the stamina to attend you friend’s birthday party starting at 8 pm,when you have to get up and get ready to go to the workplace.
In all that 5 months all i did was,going to office and coming back to home and die for a sleep.If you work for 1 night ,you will have to sleep for 4 days to get that kind of sleep.There are so many BPOs in india to make Profit as India has 1/6th of the world’s population and there are so many people like me,who are ready to give contribution for making Profits at the price of their future.
